FB571 - Lower Arm/ Bag Bracket Assembly Instructions

Lower Arm Installation
Install Pivot Assy./ Set Arm Length
Install Upper Bag Bracket
Locate left and right arms- the airbag mounting plate is offset away from the frame (Above photo shows driver side arm)
Bolt lower arm into factory leaf spring mount using stock hardware.
Adjust position of MegaFlex joint to match factory leaf spring dimension.
NOTE: Maintain minimum 1-1/8" thread inside of coupler!
Once length is set, arm may be bolted to lower axle pad mount.
With the arm bolted into position, install your 6" airbag to the arm mounting point.
Jack the axle assembly up, and loosely bolt the upper bag bracket to the top of the airbag. With the upper bracket against the frame, and the airbag sitting square on its mounts, this will be the position for the upper bracket.
Mark the FIVE holes on each side of the frame, and drill.
The tapered Allen bolts install on the sides of the frame, and the standard hex bolts install to the tops and bottoms.
NOTE: Pictured bracket is the passenger side mount- note the slight angle of the bag mount- it slopes down toward the front of the vehicle.
With arm and bag bracket installed, you may install the upper link bar from the lower arm to the upper axle bracket.
Adjusting the lenth of this arm will determine the pinion angle of your axle- set it for around 1/2 degree of downward angle (nose pointing down) at ride height.
